Salamone Rossi's Synagogue Music of the Renaissance

Join us for a special evening of Salamone Rossi music, beginning with the award winning documentary Hebreo: The Search for Salomone Rossi which features today's leading Early Music Vocal Ensemble Profeti della Quinta.

Following the screening, Profeti della Quinta will perform Rossi's music live. The program portrays Salomone Rossi's many-faceted art as a court composer in the service of the Gonzaga family and as a unique innovator of devotional music for the synagogue. Enjoy his Italian madrigals and Hebrew prayers, performed with the truly authentic Renaissance sound of Profeti della Quinta!
