This workshop offers an informed perspective about the granting landscape in Toronto, Ontario and Canada to help artists dive in with greater confidence. Participants will learn about:
- the broad variety of grants available for artists;
- what is necessary (or helpful) before applying for a grant;
- key components of an application (narratives, budgets, samples, etc.);
- some successful strategies;
- common pitfalls to avoid; and,
- what to do whether your application is successful or not.
This workshop will include writing activities that may serve as a starting point for your first or next application!
This workshop is ideal for artists, creatives, and cultural workers. We’ll also have time set aside for schmoozing so you can connect with fellow Jewish creatives.
