Nominated for an Oscar in the Short Documentary Category, this is an inspiring film about Alice Sommer who, at age 109, is the world’s oldest concert pianist and a Holocaust survivor.  Telling the story of how music literally saved her life, this film is a testament to resiliency and the enduring power of art.  Interested?  View the trailer.

The Colours of My Father: A Portrait of Sam Borenstein/ Running Time:  29 minutes
Directed by his daughter Joyce Borenstein, this film is a glimpse into the life and art of Montreal-based artist Sam Borenstein.  Winner of several international awards, this film creatively mixes fiction and non-fiction animation to bring alive archival material, stories about the artist, and the paintings themselves.  Interested?  Website.  View the trailer
