Philippa Sklaar, author, culinary master with years of experience in the art of food entertainment has rich roots in her Jewish South African heritage. As a "love letter to the fearless, outrageous women" who raised her, Philippa has created a beautiful book filled with stories about them, drenched in chutzpah, and complete with recipes! Philippa is in the neighbourhood visiting her sister and we are so fortunate to bring her to Har Zion for a "make and take" presentation of some of her delicious recipes, hear her stories about life with her mother and her Bobba, inspiring us as we think about our own family gatherings over the high holidays and beyond!
