A Temple Sinai Program — MIR Trio
MIR Trio is excited to present a concert of music by Jewish composers and inspired by Jewish culture and traditions. Not only does the trio’s name mean peace, but it unites the forces of three Toronto talents: Igor Gefter on cello, Mark Skazinetsky on violin, and Rachael Kerr on piano. Together, their passion for forgotten composers is bringing a breath of fresh air to the Toronto chamber music scene. Their inaugural concert at Temple Sinai will present works by Yefim Adler, Paul Schoenfield, and Temple Sinai’s own Charles Osborne. The trio will perform a new work written especially for them by Cantor Charles Osborne. The trio is excited to present music by living composers specifically representing the Jewish people and culture. Time: 800 p.m. Cost: Tickets in Advance: Members: $12; Non-members: $15; Tickets at the Door: Members: $15; Non-members $18.
