Centre for Jewish Philanthropy

United Jewish Appeal of Greater Toronto plays an essential role in unifying and strengthening Jewish Toronto.

Throughout 2011/2012,  UJA has been successful in all streams of fundraising – the Annual Campaign, the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto, and the Tomorrow Campaign – all thanks to the vision and compassion of our committed donors, who time and time again prove their unrelenting dedication to Israel and the vulnerable members of Jewish Toronto.

Annual Campaign

Chaired by Gilbert Palter and Barbara Bank, United Jewish Appeal’s Campaign 2012 raised $60.5 million from over 19,500 donors in a successful effort to enhance the quality of Jewish life in Toronto, Israel and around the world. Women’s Philanthropy, chaired by Felicia Posluns, raised $9.7 million for the Campaign, as it continues to engage Jewish women from a myriad of backgrounds with enlightening and contemporary initiatives that support Jews in need.

Jewish Foundation

The Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto is dedicated to creating long term resources to meet the challenges and needs of the Jewish community. As the endowment development program of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, the Foundation works in partnership with individuals, families and private foundations to enhance Jewish community life. Together we are transforming and enriching lives with programs and services that make a difference in Toronto, Canada, Israel and around the world.

Tomorrow Campaign

UJA Federation’s $400 million Tomorrow Campaign, an unprecedented Jewish infrastructure initiative, continues to reshape our city’s Jewish skyline. The Tomorrow Campaign is making enormous strides, raising funds to build the infrastructure for our growing community across the GTA.
