Canada-Israel Hematology Academic Collaboration

UJA is supporting a coalition of hematologists—doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating blood-related diseases—in Canada and Israel as part of a grassroots initiative to counter antisemitism in the medical field. The group’s primary purpose is to strengthen and enhance clinical expertise in hematology, while enabling medical professionals to learn from Israelis. One of the group’s goals is to bring Israeli learners to Ontario for residencies or fellowships, while also offering virtual teaching opportunities in areas of need in Canada and Israel.

A gift in support of this academic collaboration will provide educational and research opportunities for Israeli medical and graduate students, residents, and fellows. This includes—but is not limited to—covering the costs of travel, lodging, medical licensure, liability insurance, and administrative support.
