At this moment, Israel is battling massive fires raging in and around Jerusalem. Multiple communities have been evacuated and at least 13 people have been injured. This morning, Israel's Fire and Rescue Forces declared an emergency and called up all firefighting teams from across the country, due to the severity and scope of the fire. 

To help those affected by the wildfires, United Jewish Appeal has opened a relief fund. Funds raised will be used for immediate relief for displaced families, as well as other needs arising from dislocation and trauma. UJA Federation’s team on the ground in Israel will continually assess the most effective way to help people impacted by the fires, through the funds raised.
