Every year, UJA’s Global Seder raises funds to help vulnerable Jews, locally and globally, to celebrate Passover in dignity.
But this year is unlike any other year, which is why we have expanded our Global Seder and are mobilizing our entire community to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This crisis is impacting us all. But those who will suffer the most—and face the greatest risks—are the most vulnerable among us. They need our support as soon as possible.
Through this special campaign, we are working to help our community’s most at-risk members cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. But we need our entire community to pitch in during this time of crisis.
Thanks to a special match by the Krawczyk Family Foundation, your donation will automatically DOUBLE.
How you can help:
- Give your time to support those in need. Sign up to join our team of volunteers. We will be in touch with details on how you can help those most in need – whether by delivering supplies to isolated seniors, making phone calls to identify elderly community members who need support, or other urgent tasks. Do you or someone you know need help? Email us ASAP.
- Donate to UJA’s expanded 2020 Global Seder so that we can meet this challenge. Your gift to our 2020 Global Seder will provide immediate support to vulnerable community members in our city struggling to cope with the pandemic, while also continuing to sustain our vital Passover hunger relief programs in the GTA, Cuba, and the Former Soviet Union. Our local pandemic relief work will focus on providing seniors and other at-risk community members with emergency kits to remain safely in self-isolation, including non-perishable food, toiletries, household supplies, medication, and more. Please give generously today.
As a special incentive, the Krawczyk Family Foundation will generously provide matching dollar-for-dollar donations dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in our local community cope with the pandemic, up to $100,000.
"We are thinking about everyone in this uncertain time and want to ensure that no one is truly isolated in our community. We are proud of UJA and their efforts to respond to the evolving situation related to COVID-19 and to ensure that we get through this together."
– Alex and Brad Krawczyk, on behalf of the Krawczyk Family Foundation
This is a moment that calls on each of us to do what our community does best: Take care of each other in times of crisis. Can we count on you?
