UJA's Annual Campaign

Led by the efforts of UJA’s 2024 Annual Campaign Chairs Laurie Sheff and Cary Green, and the Chair of UJA Women's Philanthropy, Gayle Goldgut, along with our committed and passionate volunteers, UJA’s Annual Campaign strengthens. Jewish life and well-being in Toronto, across Canada, and around the world.

A gift to UJA’s Annual Campaign provides unrestricted funds to meet the urgent, ongoing humanitarian and social service needs of Jews locally and globally, to strengthen our community’s relationship with Israel, to grow Jewish education and identity, and to counter antisemitism. Amid these wide-ranging efforts, we have identified three key priorities in 2023:

  • Our local priority, helping those who need us—supporting community struggling with poverty and its effects, so they can get back on their feet and live dignified lives;
  • Our national priority, countering antisemitism—continuing to move our community from defence to offence in the fight against hate; and,
  • Our global priority, building a better future for the Jews of Eastern Europe—helping them rebuild their lives and communities in the wake of the war in Ukraine.

It includes unrestricted Annual Campaign allocations, as well as investments from supplementary giving and designated gifts.
