Since its founding in 1912, the Kiever Shul has played a vital role in the Ward, Kensington Market and broader downtown Jewish communities. The beauty of our synagogue's architecture and the warmth of our congregation attract local visitors, international travelers and students of all backgrounds to explore the roots of early 20th century Jewish Toronto. Our participatory Orthodox Shabbat morning and Yom Tov services are open to all. The Kiever Shul is available to families and individuals to celebrate their simchas and to organizations for concerts, lectures and other special events. Hebrew, Torah and other classes are available.
