Community Protector
A community member who possess advanced security awareness, protocols knowledge, and basic Krav Maga self-defence training for the purpose of assisting in Jewish community security. They are affiliated with a community organization, and posses the knowledge and skills to actively volunteer in a security capacity.
Pre-requisite: Must complete a physical assessment
Time commitment: 22 hours training + bi-monthly supplementary training annually.
Cost: to participate in the program, safety equipment is essential. UJA Community Security has purchased this equipment in bulk, which program participants may purchase for approx. $200
Parent Protector
The Parent Protector Program empowers Jewish day school parents to become the eyes, ears, and voice at their child’s school. Receive training to detect and report suspicious activity. Any parent, grandparent, or guardian 18+, can participate (subject to standard screening practices). Parent Protectors are needed in order to take charge, get ahead of any situation and mitigate risks. It is our collective responsibility to be trained, prepared, and confident in the security of our children.
Time commitment: 2-4 Hours

Community Trustee
A community member who possesses basic security awareness and protocols knowledge for the purpose of increased situational awareness in Jewish community security. Participants may or may not be affiliated with a community organization, and posses the basic knowledge and skills to passively volunteer in a security capacity.
Time commitment: 2 hours session, once a month
Frequency: Monthly
Community Sentinel
Designed for working professionals at community organizations and camps, synagogue congregants and school parents. Participants will possess basic security awareness knowledge for the purpose of increased personal awareness at their affiliated community organizations, but do not actively volunteer in a security capacity.
Time commitment: 2-4 Hours
