Position: Full-time summer internship (paid)

Location: In-person in Toronto, ON

THE ORGANIZATION:

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) is a not-for-profit human rights organization committed to countering racism and antisemitism and to promoting the principles of tolerance, social justice and Canadian democratic values through advocacy and education.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

FSWC seeks an intern for the content creator role to join the communications and marketing department. The role will focus mainly on video content for TikTok and Instagram Reels. As a content creator, you will be responsible for editing existing FSWC footage into innovative and creative content for our social media platforms. The role will also entail working with the Digital Marketing and Social Media Lead on other social media posts, as well as assisting in digital marketing for events.

You will:

  • Work with the communications and marketing team to create effective and creative social media posts, specifically focusing on video content
  • Edit existing video for TikTok and Instagram Reels, as well as longer video for YouTube
  • Assist in digital content needed for events or social media
  • Write copy and draft social media posts
  • Monitor TikTok and Instagram comments
  • Offer support wherever it is needed with the communications and marketing team

YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO IS:

  • Well-versed in social media platforms, specifically TikTok and Instagram
  • Strong video editing skills for social media – any level of experience is welcomed
  • Experience with graphic design and editing static content for social media
  • Working knowledge of Canva
  • Able to keep up with trends on social media
  • Passionate about Holocaust and antisemitism education
