The Toronto Heschel School Seeks an Admissions Coordinator

to Join its Growing Team


The Admissions Coordinator reports to the Head of School and is responsible for implementing strategies related to Preschool – Grade 8 recruitment, admission, new student communications and engagement, and retention. The Coordinator takes the lead in working with prospective families, applicants, and future families at every stage of the admissions process.

Responsibilities
• Manage the annual admissions application process
• Develop marketing strategies to attract new families
• Meet with prospective families and support them through the admission process
• Coordinate and execute all recruitment events (e.g. Open Houses, Community Events)
• Articulate a clear understanding of the Toronto Heschel School brand, school philosophy and approach to learning
• Manage relations with prospective families using the school’s admission and enrollment software (Finalsite SchoolAdmin CRM)
• Work with future families to ensure a smooth transition to the school
• Responsible for all communications to prospects, applicants, and new families
• Work in close collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator and Director of Development & Community Engagement
• Provide Division Directors with new student profiles and liaise regularly to support student retention
• Responsible for data reporting and analysis
• Coordinates visits and makes arrangements for school tours

Skills and Qualifications
• Experience supporting admissions in an educational setting
• Familiarity with Hebrew and Jewish practices is an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to students and their parents compassionately, with discretion and respect for privacy
• Strong attention to detail and being well organized is required to efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks and demands
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong database management skills, and/or a facility with learning new software, are essential
• Experience with graphics and communication software is an asset
• Collaborative team player who is flexible and self-motivated
