A transforming evening for women only

Once upon a time, beyond time, outside of time, and in time, there was a King who desired a Queens Daughter. He tricked her into loving him---he knew just what to say to make her feel beloved, accepted, and understood as she was. Because this princess was unusual indeed: she had wings.

Thus begins Tziona Achishena's newest performance and album: The Water Castle.
She tells this story, adapted from a Chassidic story, through songs. The songs are woven through storytelling, and portray a dialogue between two characters: a fugitive Princess and her mysterious Soul Guide. As the princess flees from the King,
Tziona takes the audience on her emotional journey of self-discovery and empowerment, which mirrors her own real life journey. It is a search for voice,prayer, and meaning in the midst of personal loss, and follows the princess' flight from Spiritual Captivity to the King, through doubt and beyond, and into a magical Water Castle, where she is healed through the power of song.
