As part of the 35th Annual Holocaust Education Week, Temple Har Zion Presents The Lost Rhapsody of Leo Spellman. This program honours the late Leo Spellman, Canadian composer and Holocaust survivor who wrote his powerful composition, “Rhapsody 1939-1945”, in 1947 at a German displaced persons camp. Helene Shifman, Leo Spellman’s daughter, will speak about his life after the war, his ongoing connection to music and his commitment to his family.
