Two movies from Israel and popcorn. Two classic films by Eytan Fox, Yossi and Jagger and its sequel Yossi, are powerful tales of modern day David and Jonathan in Israeli army and society. These romantic stories,tragic and life affirming at once, show the complexity of gay life and the changing attitudes towards sexual diversity in Israeli culture.

The films will be introduced by Shlomo Gleibman, PhD candidate in Jewish and Sexuality Studies , member of Kulanu Toronto and Congregation Darchei Noam.
