In thinking about how Jewish feminism has reconfigured Jewish life, we think not only about how the door of the men’s club has been opened to all. Gender inclusivity has the potential to reshape the way we read traditional Jewish texts, and the way we think of such things as justice, community, and family. To illustrate this, we will reread a famous biblical story about King Solomon’s wisdom through the lens of gender.
