Friends of Yiddish Chanukah Hulyanke Concert Featuring The Yiddish Swingtet & Kyra Folk-Farber
Friends of Yiddish proudly presents a very special Chanukah Concert of Yiddish songs and Klezmer music with the Yiddish Swingtet & introducing soprano soloist Kyra Folk-Farber. This group is made up of Klezmer clarinetist, Jonno Lightstone; pianist, Jordan Klapman; and guitarist, Tony Quarrington. They infuse the heartfelt emotions of Eastern European Klezmer music with the cool modern grooves of American swing. Vocalist Kyra's beautiful and versatile voice has been presented in opera, oratorio, world music, and Yiddish concerts, while performing as a soloist with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Aradia Ensemble, the ARC Ensemble, the Aldeburgh, Chutzpah! – and, Toronto Ashkenaz 2014 Festival.Free Parking and easy access
