For over 1000 years, Jerusalem served as the political, religious and economic capital for our people. In 70 CE the Second Temple was destroyed and everything we knew changed. How would we emerge from this jarring transition? Who would lead the way? The rabbis assumed a strong role in helping to re-establish the Torah. Of course they weren’t alone. The Talmud is our guidebook of sorts illustrating a dynamic pathway forward for a people in crisis. Its messages are timeless . . . Time: 7:00 p.m. Cost: Members: Free; Non-members: $5/per session. For more information and to register please call the Temple Office at 416-487-4161 or e-mail programs@templesinai.net. 210 Wilson Avenue.
