Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), developed in the 1960’s, is a research based, short-term therapy, originally created for clients with depression. It has been adapted for clients with binge eating disorders and Bulimia and is recommended as a first line treatment. Cindy Goodman Stulberg will describe what IPT is, how it has been adapted for eating disorders, the research on its use.
