If immigration remains a hot button issue in Canada, it is also one that resonates strongly with Jews aware of their own immigration past. Harold Troper will explore past Jewish immigration and how it's prologue to today's immigration debate. Harold Troper is a professor at the University of Toronto. He is perhaps best known for None Is Too Many, chosen by the Literary Review of Canada as one of the 100 most important Canadian books of all times. Time: 7:00 p.m. Cost: Members: Free; Non-members: $5. For more information and to register, please call the Temple Office at 416-487-4161 or e-mail 210 Wilson Avenue.
