Oraynu Congregation’s First Night Seder, for adults - older kids and teens welcome
Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 6:00 PM
272 Codsell Ave, Toronto (Borochov Cultural Centre)
The evening consists of a reading of Oraynu’s Haggadah, “Roots and Branches: A Humanist Haggadah for Passover”, followed by a partially catered Seder meal:
- Along with wine and all the ceremonial foods, Oraynu will provide a main course of chicken (or vegetarian / vegan option, if requested), with a small vegetable serving.
- To round out the meal, we ask that YOU, the attendees, bring a salad, or vegetable or other side dish, or dessert - PASSOVER-STYLE, please! - enough to feed 8-10 people, with ingredient list. There is no “kosher for Passover” requirement.
Fees for non-members: $49 pp, plus pot-luck contribution
RSVP’s and prepayment are required. RSVP deadline is Tuesday, April 1

The JRCC Communal Passover Seders are subsidized for members of the Jewish Russian community.
Others are welcome to attend by covering our cost of $60 per adult, $40 for children. Financial participation to help offset our costs is
greatly appreciated. Please consider sponsoring a family for $180.

- Every day of the Yom Tov days 9:30 AM service with lunch/kiddush.

Will be held in conjunction with the “Tammy Latner, Forest hill Jewish center” and the “Village Shul”.
