Stresses secular-humanistic Jewish identity.
The United Jewish Peoples' Order (UJPO), a national progressive secular organization, founded in 1926, continues to offer cultural and educational programs, through its institutions, including the Morris Winchevsky School, a children's Sunday School, culminating in a secular Bar/Bat mitzvah program; a Yiddish Reading Circle, a weekly gathering for anyone interested in sharing their love of Mame Loshn; the Toronto Jewish Folk Choir, a performing choral group preserving the Jewish music of our heritage; and Camp Naivelt, a family-oriented community of cottages near Toronto.
