Hasbara Fellowships Canada is a non-profit pro-Israel advocacy organization that provides Jewish student leaders with the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence in order to identify and respond to anti-Israel and antisemitic events that occur in high schools and on unviersity and college campuses. 

Since 2001, we have trained over 800 Canadian students to become advocates for Israel at colleges and universities from across the country, as well as hundreds of high school students.

Hasbara Fellowships University Program:

Hasbara Fellows begin their Israel advocacy journey by participating in Hasbara Fellowships Canada’s leadership and Israel advocacy training program. The Israel program is an intensive 16-day Israel advocacy training program focused on offering pro-Israel student leaders the opportunity to gain leadership skills, network with their peers, meet key influencers and decision-makers, and travel to strategic locations throughout the country. Upon returning to campus, students work together with their Campus Advisor to develop effective strategies to respond to antisemitism.

Hasbara High School Internship:

The Hasbara Fellowships High School Internship is a year-long program for teenagers across Canada to begin learning how to advocate for Israel while still in high school. They participate in educational webinars with high-level experts in a wide variety of relevant fields and complete various tasks designed to put their newfound skills and knowledge into practice. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to become active leaders in the pro-Israel movements on their respective campuses.

Hasbara Fellowships was created to:

1. Offer a proactive method for pro-Israel university students to learn best practices about Israel activism.
2. Help students identify areas of opportunity for pro-Israel outreach, including with campus media, campus government, other campus groups, etc.
3. Help pro-Israel students build a personal narrative about Israel, allowing them to be more effective at changing hearts and minds on campus.
4. Make supporting Israel on campus – and identifying as Jewish – safe for Jewish students for many years to come.
