Camp Gesher – a children’s Jewish overnight summer camp located in eastern Ontario .conot far from Bon Echo Park. (1 hour from Belleville) - is seeking a Driver for the summer of 2023.
The Camp offers an outdoor residential camping experience to children between the ages of 7 - 16 years. The Camp community consists of about 30 young adult staff and about 120 campers per session during its summer season.

At Gesher each camper is encouraged to take responsibility for the well being of the community and the world around them.
Our youth led community develops both tangible and intangible skills, for both our campers and our staff. We foster self confidence through trying new activities, gain resiliency by enduring setbacks in a supportive environment, develop life-long friendships, grow independence, build social skills and understanding of group dynamics, learn leadership skills, unplugging from technology and connecting with nature.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinates with Director with picking up camp supplies, food and equipment from vendors that do not offer delivery
- Collects receipts and invoices for non-prepaid expenditures and creates expense reports for these items
- Drives campers and staff members to hospital and other out of camp excursions when needed
- Drives trailer with canoes for camping trips
- Drives Luggage truck for Camper and/or staff luggage pickup/dropoff
- Drives Van of campers who will be arriving to camp from Montreal and Ottawa
- Drives staff out of camp for days off
- Acts as an additional member of the administrative team while in camp
Key Qualifications:
- Must be at least 25 Year to be on the Camp Vehicle Insurance Policy
- Class G licence (or equivalent)
- Experience driving 20’ box trucks an asset
- Experience with working with youth an asset
