The Bernard Betel Centre is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected at the Annual and Special Meeting of Members. This year, the Annual and Special Meeting of Members is scheduled for Tuesday September 17, in Toronto, Ontario.

The call for nominations is to fill existing Board vacancies at this meeting.

The Governance and Nominating Committee is particularly interested in candidates with previous Board experience and skills in one or more of the following areas:

  • Legal

Familiarity and interest in the Jewish community are assets. We strongly encourage applicants from diverse communities to apply.

Board members are elected to a two-year term and eligible to serve five terms for a maximum of ten years. All Board Members are expected to attend eight to ten Board meetings per year, and sit on a Board committee with a further commitment of four to six meetings per year.
