A message from the chair

UJA Federation’s visionary Tomorrow Campaign continued to grow in 2010-2011, driven by those who believe in the importance of building a future for our next generation - a future that includes thriving centres of recreation and education, arts and culture, health and wellness, and much needed services and programs for all members of our diverse community.

A number of remarkable gifts have strengthened the Tomorrow Campaign this year, including the creation of the Joseph Gottdenker Family Institute for Civic Responsibility at the Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre on Sherman Campus and the naming of the Feldman Family Resource Centre on the Joseph and Wolf Lebovic Jewish Community Campus.

Over the past 12 months, there has been tremendous progress on the second phase of construction of the Lebovic Campus; an exciting and unprecedented project that will serve the Jewish population north of Steeles and all communities throughout York Region. Programs on Sherman Campus are expanding, and Downtown, the Miles Nadal JCC and Wolfond Centre for Jewish Campus Life continue to be centres of excellence that celebrate Jewish culture and recreation in our urban core.

From the north end of the GTA to the south, the Tomorrow Campaign is moving from strength to strength thanks to our incredible donors and dedicated lay leaders, particularly the Tomorrow Leadership Cabinet. Together we are changing the landscape of Jewish Toronto today, and for generations to come.

Sincerely,

Leslie Gales,
Chair, Tomorrow Leadership Cabinet
