Toronto, On…Toronto philanthropist Seymour Schulich has made a $2 million gift to an innovative education program in Israel, assisting vulnerable communities.  UJA Federation of Greater Toronto is partnering with World ORT, the leading Jewish non-governmental organization that specializes in cutting edge education and vocational training, on the Schulich Canada Smart Classroom Initiative, which will offer students a dynamic, interactive education experience through innovative classroom technologies.

Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony in Toronto
Sunday, April 11, 2 pm at Earl Bales Park

Toronto’s Jewish community will join cities around the world to mark the annual Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom Hashoah V’Hagvurah) on Sunday, April 11 with a commemorative ceremony at 2 pm at Earl Bales Park (Bathurst St. and Sheppard Ave).
